This spectacular NEON Black Opal from Australia is a Picasso painting 🌌✨️ with broad twinkling flashes of neon teal & electric blue!!! 💙✨️✨️ The base is dark bluish-black!

Aussie opals are highly prized because they *don’t lose color in water or sweat and are much less prone to cracking than cheaper Ethiopian opals. Opals set in protective bezels* are good for everyday wear! This gem is from Lightning Ridge, the mine of vivid black opals. Opals display stronger play-of-color in brighter light. *Pinfire flash means the flashes appear as tiny dots, making these opals extremely bright & vivid in sunlight and bright indoor light! In dull indoor lighting, the flashes are less prominent compared to broad flash opals, which are extremely pricey. I’ve included photos and videos in different lighting so you know what to expect 🤗🖤🌌 The first image is taken with flash, showing the brightest it can look, like in direct sunlight!!

*This is a black crystal Opal & crystals show their color flashes best against a dark/black background. Hence, I have varnished its back with black gel to show how it will look in a ring setting with a darkened base, which is usually done for crystal opal jewelry! (It looks 10% more vivid with the darkened base of the ring, at no extra cost to you! Voila 😍🖤🌌)
