This stunning natural Australian black opal ring is handmade in 925 sterling silver and accented with natural Blue Sapphires. 💙✨

The blue-black opal has a small greyish potch line/spot. This is a natural feature of the opal and is not a crack or sand inclusion. I have reduced the price on this ring because it is really hard to capture, truly!

The silver has been rhodium-plated to preserve its beautiful white finish, color, and luster.

Australian opals are world-famous for their mesmerizing beauty and exceptional stability. Unlike hydrophane Ethiopian opals, which can absorb water and temporarily change appearance, Australian opals are non-hydrophane and will not lose their natural play-of-color when exposed to water or perspiration.

This piece was lovingly handmade by me, with many hours of hands-on work and, quite literally, a labor of love. I personally cut the heart-shaped opal from rough material sourced from Lightning Ridge, Australia, then shaped and polished it by hand. A secure bezel setting helps protect the opal.

The opal is photographed in sunlight to showcase its strongest play-of-color. I also film it indoors without sunlight or flash so you can see how it looks in everyday lighting. Opal play-of-fire is incredibly difficult to capture through a camera, and I can assure you it looks even more magical in person than in the listing photos. 🌈✨
