This stunning natural Australian crystal opal pendant is made with 925 silver. This is a pendant, chain can be bought seperately****! The silver has been rhodium-plated to preserve its color and luster. The opal is a solid. This is called a jelly opal for its translucent jelly like play of fire & it's high dome makes it look more prominent, intense in color, & adds to its value! 💜 its shade is very unique and vivid! its a purplish lavender sheen on darker and metallic side 💜 unlike my pastel lavenders. its very hard to capture! photos didn't capture its beauty even 50%!!! the lower opal gives lavender, blue and like green flashes from different angles! Australian opals are world famous for their beauty & color preservation. The inexpensive Ethiopian opals lose their color in water/ perspiration. Hence, Aussie opals are some of the rarest & most expensive gemstones in the world! I have made this piece by my hands, with many hours of labor of love (literally)! I cut the opal from rough stone material sourced from Lightning Ridge, Australia. The opals are first photographed under a flashlight to show the best color they can display, similar to how they appear in sunlight. They are also filmed indoors without sunlight or flash. It is very difficult to capture the play-of-fire in opals. I can assure you they look even better in person than in the listing photos.
