The silver has been rhodium-plated to preserve its beautiful white finish, color, and luster.

Australian opals are world-famous for their mesmerizing beauty and exceptional stability. Unlike hydrophane Ethiopian opals, which can absorb water and temporarily change appearance, Australian opals are non-hydrophane and will not lose their natural play-of-color when exposed to water or perspiration. 🩵

Your opal will not lose its color in water, so you can enjoy its natural beauty with peace of mind! ✨

This piece was lovingly handmade by me, with many hours of hands-on work and, quite literally, a labor of love. I personally cut the heart-shaped opal from rough material sourced from Lightning Ridge, Australia, then shaped and polished it by hand. The stones are protected with a secure bezel setting.

To show you the opal’s natural beauty, I photograph the stones in sunlight to capture their strongest play-of-color. I also film them indoors without sunlight or flash, so you can see how they look in more everyday lighting. Opal play-of-fire is incredibly difficult to capture through a camera, and I can assure you they are even more magical in person than in the photos. 🌈✨
